Kevin Buck

Writing about reinvention, addiction, incarceration, human dignity, and the wonderfully peculiar lives found along the way.

About the author

A life reclaimed through story.

Kevin Buck is incarcerated in an Idaho state prison and is serving a three-year sentence connected to methamphetamine use. A former information technology portfolio manager and decorated veteran, Kevin returned to a love of storytelling while incarcerated.

He wrote four novels in the series The Inspiring Adventures of Glo, Drag Queen Detective. His semi-autobiographical writing draws upon an unconventional life as a teenage runaway, Navy veteran, drag queen, graduate student, corporate technology leader, recovering addict, and person beginning again inside prison.

Kevin advocates for addiction recovery, meaningful preparation for release, and a correctional system that recognizes the creativity, ability, and potential that remain within every person.
